Pakistan U17 Football Squad Confirmed for AFC Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers in Laos
The Pakistan Football Federation names a promising 23-member squad for the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers in Laos under head coach Mohammad Habib.
In a vital boost for grassroots soccer development, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) Normalisation Committee has officially announced the final 23-member national squad for the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U17 Asian Cup 2027 Qualifiers. The tournament will be hosted at the National Stadium in Vientiane, Laos, running from November 8 to November 20.
Rigorous Talent Scouting via National Championship
The squad was curated through extensive nation-wide trials and rigorous performance monitoring during the recently concluded PFF National U-17 Football Championship 2026. The domestic championship brought together regional academy teams from Lyari, Chaman, Gilgit, Lahore, and Peshawar, providing a transparent merit-based pipeline into the national setup.
Head coach Mohammad Habib expressed strong confidence in the tactical cohesion of the selected youngsters:
"This squad represents the finest technical footballing talent our youth academies have produced in a decade. These boys possess remarkable stamina, spatial awareness, and hunger. Our objective in Laos is not merely participation; we intend to compete fearlessly for qualification." — Mohammad Habib, Pakistan U17 Head Coach
