ICC Inspection Delegation Expresses High Satisfaction with Pakistan's Champions Trophy Preparedness
High-level ICC inspection committee completes comprehensive tour of venues in Lahore, Rawalpindi, and Karachi, giving full clearance to stadium facilities and security architecture.
Following a rigorous week-long assessment across Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, an elite delegation from the International Cricket Council (ICC) has voiced complete satisfaction with Pakistan's infrastructural developments, security protocols, and operational readiness for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy.
Comprehensive Assessment Across Four Pillars
The visiting delegation, comprised of senior officials from tournament operations, venue safety, broadcasting logistics, and anti-corruption units, inspected every aspect of matchday readiness:
- Security Infrastructure: Presidential-level security apparatus, secure motorcade corridors, and perimeter monitoring using hundreds of AI-integrated facial recognition CCTV cameras.
- Player Amenities: Renovated dressing rooms, anti-doping testing suites, modern physiotherapy suites, and dedicated warm-up nets.
- Broadcasting & Media: High-bandwidth fiber transmission routes, broadcast compound space for OB vans, and commentary box acoustic standards.
- Fan Amenities: Modernized concession concourses, clean washroom sanitation, disability-accessible ramps, and emergency evacuation exits.
Praise for PCB's Proactive Execution
During the concluding press briefing in Islamabad, the delegation leaders commended the PCB leadership and local civic authorities for executing complex construction schedules well within required milestones. The coordination between the federal government, law enforcement agencies, and the cricket board was singled out as a benchmark for international tournament hosting.
"The progress made across the three host venues is extraordinary. The dedication of the organizers, coupled with the warmth of the Pakistani cricketing public, guarantees an unforgettable event for the global cricket fraternity."
